WHY do I have all the rubbish side effects of this diet - weary, weak, headachy, constipation, possible bloating now too, but not the good ones - energy, clear skin and weight loss?
Hello, Peridot. I've seen your comments on Mrs Lard's blog for sometime now and thought I would pop in for a look at yours. Oh, I'm so sorry, my dear that your have such a grotty time on the diet. It's so, so demoralising when you appear to be doing everything right but your body just doesn't want to play ball. I know only too well as I started LL in February and was only able to do 3 weeks as I got a 'reaction' to the packs. LL wouldn't let me continue. I tried Cambridge and then Slimfast, still with the same reactions. I've been going it alone for a while but now started back on Slimming World. The reason I'm saying this is that you'e not alone in your struggles. There are others of us out there. You are losing weight, unfortunately not at the rate you were expecting, and you will get there in the end.
I wish you luck, and will look in again soon is that's OK.
Hey peridot. I'm SO sorry that you're not getting the desired results and understand totally your frustration. I'm sure I would have decked someone if I had been totally good yet not had a loss!!
I would recommend that you ring Head Office as they may have some suggestions. If nothing else, you might get a free week or something!!!
I really hope this turns round for you and soon! Well done for sticking it out too - that takes guts.
I am the world's worst dieter. If I were a primary school child, I would be given some kind of award for 'tries hard' to cover the fact that the subtitle says 'achieves nothing'. And boy, do I try. I did lose the minimum they reckon it's possible to lose on LighterLife and have lost practically nothing on Slimming World, Weight Watchers, Pig to Twig, Carb-free, 5:2, Cambridge Diet, Cabbage Soup Diet - and probably a few more that I can't remember. Still trying hard though and now giving Slimming World a second shot - and trying not to remember that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing but expecting the different results. I still hope that one day, I will crack it. They say that being slimmer won't make you happier but I'm not buying it - and in any case am prepared to put it to the test!

Hi Peridot
Hope you were able to get somewhere with the stuff from minis??
Just sending cheery support!!! Think you need it right now.
Big kiss.
Mrs Lxxx
A friend of mine recently put on a whole pound during abstinence.
It happens, and it sucks. However, stick with it, it will get better.
